L Yashaswy Akelly

I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Bocconi University. Prior to joining Bocconi, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. I earned my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where I received the 2023 Prof. Tirath Gupta Memorial Award for Best Thesis. My research has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of International Business Studies, and Journal of Retailing. I have also received several honors, including the 2025 American Marketing Association RAPSIG Doctoral Student Award, the 2024 Inaugural IIMA Endowment Fund Case Award, and the 2022 Sethuraman NASMEI Research Grant Award.
