Blockchain Initiative
About Us
Blockchain and related Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) has fundamentally changing the landscape of financial intermediation. Distributed computing has made possible significant cost savings and improvements in administrative processing and tracking that no longer requires expensive third party assurance and intermediation.
In recent times the main driving force for developments in this area has been the need for crypto-currencies to have Blockchain ledger systems to record transactions in a transparent fashion. However other applications are best matched with other DLT's. This research initiative will also consider other DLT's such as Hyperledger, Ethereum and the open source DLT coding language Corda.
The objective of this initiative is to promote research that leads the debate on the design of new management control systems based on recent advances in state of the art DLT.
